Your car's interior takes a beating in the UAE. Intense heat dries out leather, UV rays fade the dashboard, and fine desert sand gets into every corner. Here's how to clean and protect your cabin so it stays fresh, comfortable and like new.

Benefits of regular interior and leather care
- Prevents cracked leather: conditioning keeps leather soft and stops it drying out and splitting in the heat.
- Stops fading: UV protectants shield your dashboard and trim from sun damage.
- Healthier cabin: removing dust, sand, allergens and bacteria makes every drive more pleasant.
- Fresh smell: cleaning fabrics and mats removes odours instead of masking them.
- Higher resale value: a clean, well-kept interior is one of the first things buyers notice.
- More comfort: clean, supple seats feel better and stay cooler.
Step 1: Remove mats and vacuum thoroughly
Take out floor mats and vacuum seats, carpets and seat rails. Use a crevice tool to pull sand from tight gaps.
Step 2: Clean the dashboard and trim
Spray an interior cleaner onto a microfiber cloth (not directly onto the dash) and wipe down all plastic and vinyl surfaces.
Step 3: Clean the leather gently
Use a pH-balanced leather cleaner and a soft brush to lift dirt from the grain, then wipe clean with a microfiber towel.
Step 4: Condition the leather
Apply a quality leather conditioner to restore moisture and add UV protection. Let it absorb, then buff off any excess.
Step 5: Protect with UV dressing
Finish the dashboard and door panels with a non-greasy UV protectant to prevent fading and cracking.
Step 6: Clean the glass
Use an ammonia-free glass cleaner inside and out for a streak-free, glare-free view.
